The oldest information we can find about the name of the company MUVER goes back to the time 26th January 1952, when the former directors registered it as a trade mark.

At that time, the company set out to develop a project that could only be seen as ambitious, since they were able to manufacture a four-stroke engine with a low fuel consumption that was so adequate for a time when fuel was so scarce. At the same time, all those parts that were necessary to manufacture motorcycles were developed, however complex they may have looked.

As a consequence from that activity, the company grows and they manage to manufacture a remarkable number of those motorcycles.

In the 70s, and due to the growth the footwear companies were experimenting in the area, the company sets out to specialize in the repair and maintenance of shoe machinery. It was at that moment when, as commissioned by the Technological Institute for Footwear and Related Industries (INESCOP), a laboratory equipment was repaired. It had broken down shortly after it had been imported.

That repair marked the beginning of the current activity of this company, since that device underwent profound modifications and those modifications proved to be of enormous efficacy to its manufacturer.

From that experience, and due to the fact that the reliability of most equipments was not up to the job, INESCOP started to commission the manufacturing of accessories and equipments for quality control, thus relying on the accuracy of our work.

In 1978, the company FRANCISCO MUÑOZ IRLES C.B. finally abandoned its former activity repairing shoe machinery to manufacture equipments for quality control laboratories.

The decisive moment for the company arrived when INESCOP commissioned the development of a low-cost device to measure leather that other companies manufacturing machinery had previously tried to develop to no avail due to the mechanical accuracy the job demanded.

The creation of that device together with INESCOP was the start of the export of our machinery. To neighbouring countries (France, Portugal, etc.) at the beginning, and later worldwide. Today, there are appliances manufactured by us in over 40 countries on all five continents.

Today, MUVER manufactures 86 machines aimed at carrying out quality control tests in laboratories studying footwear (safety footwear, casual, etc.) and its components (fabrics, leathers, polymers, etc.). This company manufactures all equipment used for physical tests as defined by Spanish, European and international standards. The company also tries to devote some time to participating in international projects in industrial development (IRIST, CRAFT, etc.).

MUVER continue to research on the new technologies applied to the improvement of the operation and reliability of our machinery, in order to be able to ensure that our customers get the reliability, durability and low maintenance they expect from our equipment.

The advance of these technologies is what defines, day by day, the concept of our equipment.
